Before I became a teacher, I had different feelings about them. Gee, it must be nice to have summers off, etc.

Being a teacher is like being a perpetual presenter. If you’re unprepared your presentation sucks. And, your work doesn’t begin until after kids leave the classroom. The real work is during nights and weekends.
