Hey, Tracey! Thanks for sharing your account. It’s sad that we unify in the threat of a scare like this.

It is a burden for the kids, one they shouldn’t have to deal with. I imagine it’s a burden on the faculty too. These fears don’t go away just because a person is beyond adolescence.

I purposely left politics out of the equation because I don’t think they play a part in this and I don’t think they are the solution. I don’t think politics crossed the kid’s mind when he got on Snapchat. I think there’s something else at the core that he needs. When we discover what that is maybe we can find a place to begin healing.
