I can appreciate the special bond between a person and her service animal.

And, I get your point that the pavement may be hot. When I take my kids to the pool they still walk on the hot pavement because they enjoy swimming.

I’d never purposely inflict pain on my little buddy, and the reach he has on his leash can easily allow him to walk in the grass, should he choose to do so. Can’t imagine that he’d be smiling and wagging his tail while in pain, not taking an available alternative.

Glad the booties work for your dog.

If I ever tried to put a pair on Bentley, that would be a different humorous story I’d have to write. Ha!
