Hi Amanda! Thanks for sharing your perspective. I'd bet that book is an interesting read. I'm captivated by how these great minds thought and processed the work of their hands.

Agree, there's nothing like the sense of pride that comes from a labor of love, in all its distinct characteristics and flaws.

I suspect we're similar in a couple of areas. I'd like to reclaim my first quilt. It was little more than a lap blanket, but given as a gift.

My second, a queen size is my treasure. I see its flaws and its successes for where I was in growth, even evidenced throughout that one project.

The machine quilts I've made since are enjoyable, but there's something about that special handmade touch. It's glorious.
