I think you are overwhelmingly correct on two points.

  1. We falsely believe we are good at multi-tasking. We do not take into account the additional time it takes to complete a task. Sometimes “finished” is only half-way.
  2. Multitasking is like an addiction. I haven’t considered this, but I whole heartedly agree. It’s like an addiction, a downward spiral to no place good.
