Honestly, Penguin, I think it's the lack of transparency to nominators through all of this that raises the most and biggest flags. Writers see and feel the changes, yet have no answers. No guidance. When we can't see and don't understand the "why" behind the changes, that's what people are most confused about. People are only left to guess and wonder. This may be why writing about Medium is preposterously lucrative. Writers are writing about their painpoint, when real writing gets overlooked. (I hate it too).
