I’m going to stay focused on the portion of your response relevant to this piece.

What should we do? Good question.

Many schools have Intervention teachers, who work with certain groups of students several hours a day, to help position them for better academic success. I think we should have more of these teachers.

We already have Fun Friday, where kids don’t learn anything new and watch movies or have fun activities. Based on your response, it sounds like we should add Mozie in Monday and continue not learning.

Then, perhaps, we could get down to the business of learning at least three days each week. Otherwise, we have minutes and days being checked off to meet basic funding requirements in education systems that aren’t much better than daycare.

Kids can play outside and in daycare. School is the place mostly meant for learning.
