Jesús, you've mentioned something that's important. When we don't feel appreciated, many times we stop performing. It's a tough thing to overcome. I wonder if performance was tied to some kind of pain or revenue if it would make a difference. Pioneers had one goal--to survive. If we had to work like that it would be sink or swim--life or death. Our modern day versions are comfortable. We can kick back, circle the chair, throw a stress ball at the wall, and let the minutes tick away while getting paid for working. Too stark a comparison?
