Linda, It sounds like our kids are a lot alike. My oldest sounds similar to the kid you are describing. My youngest plays with numbers like toys. She can maneuver them forward, backward, and upside down. She hates reading, however, so she likely won’t qualify for “giftedness” programs.

Thanks so much for your creative learning suggestions. We’ll incorporate some of those to keep education fun and exciting. I think education does not end at school. We can continue to enrich our kids to learn in fun ways.
